On behalf of the Radiological Society of Thailand (RST), its members, and the executive committee, I am delighted to welcome the board members of the Asian-Oceanic Society for Pediatric Radiology (AOSPR) and all participants of AOSPR2026 to Bangkok, the capital and vibrant heart of Thailand.

The RST executive committee consciously chose to host AOSPR2026 on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, the majestic lifeblood coursing through central Thailand, to allow all participants to be fully immersed in the charm, beauty, and historic architecture of the old Bangkok landscape. Having served as Thailand’s capital free from war and colonization for nearly 250 years, Bangkok has been uniquely empowered to shape its own destiny and distinctive character. This enduring peace and generosity of spirit, nurtured by the gentle river flowing through our fertile plains, have long drawn people from diverse cultures to interact, seamlessly blend, and flourish within this city.

Our conference venue sits on one of the river’s most breathtaking bends, situated alongside world-renowned and iconic architectural landmarks of both the past and present. Beyond the rigorous academic program thoughtfully curated by the AOSPR scientific committee and the Thai Pediatric Radiology Club (TPRC), I warmly encourage all participants to use their free time—day and night—to witness the beauty, experience the tranquility, and embrace the vibrant joy of this historic yet bustling capital.

May you return home with unforgettable memories, lasting friendships, and the lingering image of Bangkok’s glittering sunsets over the river and the golden roofs of the temples and palaces.

คณะกรรมการอำนวยการ ได้ตั้งใจเลือกจัดงาน AOSPR2026 บนฝั่งตะวันตกของแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา แม่น้ำซึ่งเปรียบประดุจสายเลือดใหญ่ที่หล่อเลี้ยงภาคกลางของประเทศไทย เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมทุกท่านได้ดื่มด่ำ กับความงดงามของภูมิทัศน์ สถาปัตยกรรม และบรรยากาศอันเปี่ยมเสน่ห์ของเมืองเก่ากรุงเทพฯ

การเป็นเมืองหลวงของไทยที่ปราศจากภัยสงครามและการตกเป็นอาณานิคมมาอย่างยาวนานเกือบ ๒๕๐ ปี ทำให้กรุงเทพฯสามารถเติบโต และกำหนดอัตลักษณ์ของตนเองได้อย่างอิสระ ความสงบร่มเย็นและความเอื้ออารีของผู้คน บนผืนดินราบลุ่มอันกว้างใหญ่และอุดมสมบูรณ์ ที่มีแม่น้ำสายใหญ่ไหลผ่าน ได้ดึงดูดผู้คนจากหลากหลายวัฒนธรรมให้มาพบปะ แลกเปลี่ยน และผสมผสานกันอย่างลงตัวในมหานครแห่งนี้

สถานที่จัดงานของเราตั้งอยู่บนหนึ่งในโค้งน้ำที่งดงามที่สุด โอบล้อมด้วยสถาปัตยกรรมระดับโลก อันทรงคุณค่าทั้งจากอดีต และปัจจุบัน นอกเหนือจากกิจกรรมทางวิชาการที่ได้รับการคัดสรรมาอย่างประณีต โดยคณะกรรมการวิชาการของ AOSPR2026 และคณะกรรมการชมรมภาพวินิจฉัยในเด็กแห่งประเทศไทย (Thai Pediatric Radiology Club, TPRC) แล้ว กระผมขอเชิญชวนให้ทุกท่านใช้เวลาว่างที่มี สัมผัสความงดงาม ความสงบร่มเย็น และดื่มด่ำกับชีวิตชีวาของเมืองหลวงอันเก่าแก่ทว่าไม่เคยหลับใหลแห่งนี้ ทั้งในยามทิวาและราตรี

หวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าทุกท่านจะนำความทรงจำอันแสนประทับใจ มิตรภาพที่งดงาม และภาพแสงอาทิตย์อัสดงที่ ทอประกายระยิบระยับเหนือน่านน้ำ และหลังคาโบสถ์วิหารของกรุงเทพมหานคร กลับไปเป็นความทรงจำที่ตราตรึงใจ
