Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is my great pleasure and honor to invite you to the 1st Meeting of the Federation of Asian Organizations for Radiation Oncology (FARO) which is to be held during November 25-27, 2016, at Kyoto International Conference Center, Japan.
FARO was founded on November 3, 2014 with 11 societies as founding organizations. Our mission is to provide a platform to promote education & training, scientific exchange, and research in radiation oncology through continuous cooperation and communication among Asian countries for the professionals in the field of radiation oncology.
The theme of the meeting is “Get Together, Asian Oncologists!”. In this meeting, current situation of radiation oncology in each society will be demonstrated and discussed focusing on common malignancies in Asian countries.
The FARO meeting will be held in conjunction with the 29th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Radiation Oncology (JASTRO) and the participants of FARO meeting can attend the JASTRO program where prominent oncologists join.
Kyoto has been voted for the second year in a row the world’s best city by readers of “Travel + Leisure” magazine. We hope you will enjoy both scientific and social programs.
